Award-winning architecture firm KTGY Architecture + Planning today announced the relocation of its Chicago office to 217 N. Jefferson St., Suite 400, in Chicago’s Fulton River District — a move driven by the firm’s continued growth. Established in 2015, the Chicago studio was previously based at 343 W. Erie St., in the River North neighborhood.

“Our office has grown continuously since opening the original Chicago location four years ago,” said Craig Pryde, a KTGY shareholder and principal of the firm’s Chicago office. “It’s been an exciting time that has resulted in greater diversity in the size, type and location of our projects. Our new space will accommodate an expanding team to execute this additional work and upcoming projects.”

The new Chicago office features an open-plan design, with a fully equipped employee kitchen, lounge and gathering area, multiple conference rooms and group collaboration spaces, and a mothers’ room. Each meeting area has state-of-the-art technology that allows KTGY team members to connect with clients and colleagues throughout the United States and abroad.

Currently, the Chicago team is working on a wide range of projects, including office, multifamily and mixed-use developments, located throughout the central U.S. Representative projects that showcase the depth and expertise of the Chicago office include:

  • The Annex of Ruston, a 324-bed, three-story student housing development located in the rapidly growing college community of Ruston, La., which is home to Louisiana Tech University. The design comprises three distinct buildings – a larger T-shaped structure flanked by two smaller buildings – all of which are intended to maintain architectural continuity with the surrounding neighborhood.
  • The Barnes & Thornburg Building, a 55,000-square-foot development that marks the first new office building in downtown South Bend, Ind., in over 20 years. The five-story building, which includes ground-level retail space, will be anchored by law firm Barnes & Thornburg LLP.
  • Grid, a 175-unit rental community in downtown Indianapolis, features a multilayered, grid-like façade that gives the building its name, reflecting its location as part of the broader downtown street grid.
  • Artistry, a seven-story, 344-unit residential community in Cincinnati, Ohio, is designed in a contemporary architectural style that will feature art from a local artist in Cincinnati. Part of a multifamily enclave that is being developed along the Cincinnati River, Artistry engages the adjacent riverwalk to promote an active urban lifestyle.
  • Titletown – Phase 2, a collection of 70-90 townhomes — available in three-bedroom floor plans – that are part of the broader Titletown mixed-use district immediately west of Lambeau Field that is being developed by Titletown Development LLC, the real estate development arm of the Green Bay Packers.
